STAT Test Information-Moss Vale Education Centre.
Special sittings of the STAT test are held annually at Moss Vale Education Centre on in November/December. Date of the next Special sitting is 8th December, 2009. at 10.00 a.m.
Applications close Monday 23rd November,2009.
STAT tests are held at other times and at other venues throughout the state. Refer STAT dates and venues .
What is STAT?
The Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT) is a series of related tests designed to assess a range of competencies commonly considered important for success in tertiary study. STAT assesses your ability to understand the material given and to think critically about issues, rather than to test knowledge of curriculum or a specific academic subject. Many tertiary institutions in Australia use STAT as part of their admissions procedure for certain categories of applicants, in addition to any other information available, when assessing your application for admission. If you have no formal qualifications on which to base your application to a tertiary institution, you may be eligible to be considered for entry to a course by sitting STAT. STAT results will be taken into consideration when applying for UOW Moss Vale Education Centre courses, as well as for other Universities.
Registration
To Complete the 2009 STAT Registration Form.
- Download and complete the STAT registration for 2009 admissions.
Make sure that you: - complete all relevant questions on page 1 of your STAT registration
- print your UAC application number, if you are a UAC applicant
- print the three digit session code - -(Moss Vale will be a Special Sitting) – Code MC800
- sign and date your form
- keep page 2 of your STAT registration to make your payment and for your records
- The registration fee for a special sitting is $160, and is payable to UAC.
The above fee includes
- the supply of written test materials
- a STAT Candidate Information Booklet,
- a STAT Sample Collection of Questions Volume 1,
- a STAT result notice and arranging the test.
