MOSS VALE GRADUATION CELEBRATION 2008
Moss Vale held the annual Graduation celebration for students on 11TH December.
There were 14 students graduating , and 11 of those were able to attend and celebrate with their friends and family. Students graduated with degrees in Arts (including Honours—Kim Clothier), Commerce, Accountancy & Business Administration.
From the beginning, students at Moss Vale have performed above expectations and this trend continues. Students regularly appear on the Dean’s Merit List each year. This is quite an achievement as the Deans Merit list is made up of the top 5% of students across all years. This year there were students graduating who have regularly appeared on the Dean’s Merit list.
In addition, this year we had 3 Dean’s Scholars graduating – Maureen Thomas, Evie Williamson and Fiona Whiley. Only students with outstanding Academic records are accepted into the program, & once in the program, must continue to achieve a Distinction average. For all 3 students this was all completed while balancing the demands of work, study & family commitments. In fact, most of the students attending Moss Vale have also balanced similar demands of work, study & family commitments, which makes their excellent achievements even more special.
Three of the graduating Arts students will also be continuing with further studies next year. Angela Nance, Marie Sullivan and Claire Smith will all be completing a Grad Dip in Education, to enable them to become teachers.
